Fundraising

Running a busy Scout Group, providing activities for over 80 young people weekly, and maintaining a 200 year old stone building costs money. A lot of money. As a Scout Group we receive no government funding. Some of our income comes from the membership fees we charge to our members, and some from hall rentals. The rest has to be brought in by our fundraising team. And with a target to refurbish the Scout Hall over the coming five years, our team are keen to get as much help as possible.

Joining our Fundraising Events Team

Our fundraising events team organise 3 or 4 events each year to bring income into the group. Typically events are held at weekends, and take a few days of planning and preparation. The team are very sociable and have fun while they work!

Turning up to our Events

Bring the family along to the Fathers Day Big Breakfast. Come and look at the wares on sale at the Christmas Fair. Come along and buy a cake and a coffee. Every little bit of support helps

Promoting our Events

Do you have a window that we could put a poster in? Could you drop some fliers in to your neighbours? Could you tell the regulars in the pub what we are doing?
